Downloading the YuJa Application

When you navigate to the YuJa menu item in your Canvas course you are brought to a YuJa landing page.

At the top page you have the options to Manage Media or Create Recordings. When you select Create Recording you are prompted to download the YuJa desktop application.

Note: Install the YuJa application to record content from the device you are using.

You also have the ability to view your YuJa profile at tulane.yuja.com

Setting Up Your Recording

When the recording software launches, at the top of the interface you can give your recording a name and description. You will also need to choose where to save the recording: we recommend saving to the Default Collection.

Along the right side of the interface, you can set your video, audio, and screen preferences:

Video: You can choose to record yourself or the classroom as you present a lecture. This option defaults to the built in computer camera. If you have external cameras they will appear here.

Audio: Choose which microphone you'd like to use. This options defaults to the build in microphone. Any external mics will appear here. You can check to see how well the microphone is picking up sound with the Mic Source monitor in the middle of the interface.

Screen: Choose if you'd like to record your computer screen or not. You can choose to record the entire desktop or a selection within the Advanced Settings menu.

Profile: This lets you to save the settings you chose above to a specific profile so you don't have to determine the settings again for a later recording

Press Start once all your settings are selected.

To stop the recording you can select the stop button found in the bottom right hand corner of your desktop
